Where Aloha Meets Adventure!
E komo mai to Da Whale Boat Ohana, where whale obsessions are welcome! We can’t wait to meet you. Captain Kelsey, founder and owner, started this company to give guests an option to affordably whale watch in a small group setting while maintaining 5 star service. Kelsey and her team have 13 plus years of ocean experience and are so excited to bring whale watching to life through interactive education, close encounters*, live whale song, and local fluke identification. Our hope is that guests will walk away fulfilled; inspired by these beautiful animals and empowered to continue to make this planet a better place. When not in whale season (whale season is December-March), join Da Whale Boat on a custom private charter adventure to Dolphin View, Foodie/Snorkel, Bottom Fish, Sustainably Snorkel, Picnic on the Beach and/or Manta Ray snorkel. Tell us what you are looking for, and we will do our very best to make it happen. See you out on our beautiful ocean soon!
About Da Whale Boat
This boat company was built on an obsession and respect for the Hawaiian Humpback Whales. Captain Kelsey, who has been doing whale watching for over a decade and has traveled the world to learn about whales, loves using oceanic resources to inspire love, passion, sustainability, education and growth in all who come on board. We are local, personalized, and small (we only take 6 passengers at a time). We believe you are Ohana (family) when you come out with us. When the whales are not around, Da Whale Boat operates private charters that can include Dolphin Viewing, sustainable snorkeling, fishing, beach hopping, sunset charters, manta rays and more. International whale experiences are also offered in the Hawaii off season. Captain Kelsey and team are actively a part of a non-profit, called For Children to Flourish that helps connect local communities to natural resources where hope can be found and healing can begin. Currently, the team is helping take out local kids and their support systems out on boats for free on Big island and Maui: working with the victims of the Lahaina fire.
What makes our snorkel trips different?
Guests rave about the attentiveness and expertise of our guides! We go with you for safety and to show you the beauty of the reef. So much is missed when you don’t know what you are looking for.
The food on our boat is ono (hawaiian word for mouthwatering). We cater the most delicious chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie and fresh cut pineapple.
Our message is aloha. Our hope is to inspire you to help make our ocean/world a better place. We want to gift you a beautiful gift at the end that inspires sustainability (worth $15 retail). Come find out what that is!
